Lots to do both in summer & winter
In both summer and winter you can be as active or as quiet as you like. From Castle Hill Village you have easy access to skifields, fantastic lakes and rivers, the famous limestone formations that form Kura Tawhiti Reserve (Castle Hill "rocks"), and National Parks. A great place to stop off for a good night's sleep on the annual Speight's Coast to Coast triathalon race.
With a labyrinth in the backyard of Avoca House B&B and a native beech forest in the Craigieburn Range and adjacent to the village there is also the option for quiet contemplation in nature. Castle Hill Village is a great venue for workshops.
