Porter Heights
Formerly known as Porter Heights this field offers something for everyone and is well known for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Porters has 3 T Bar lifts, a platter and a moving carpet for new learners. The field is suitable for learners throught to experienced skiers.

Ski hire facilities are available on the mountain.
Porters has combination lift pass and gear hire packages for skiers and snowborders
as well as family packages. The "Ski Academy" runs during the holidays and every Sunday for children age 5 to 16 years.
Porters skifield closest to Christchurch
Ski Porters is the closest ski field to Christchurch, approx 100kms from Christchurch International Airport.
With a top height of nearly 2000 metres, Porters has stunning views of the Southern Alps and Lake Coleridge. They have good natural snow, regular snowmaking and extensive grooming facilities.
There are gentle slopes for beginners, good runs and trails for intermediates, and challanges for advanced skiers and snowboarders like Big Mama & Bluff Face. Big Mama, with 620 vertical metres, is longest and steepest straight run down in the Southern Hesisphere.
They have a professional Ski Patrol to help and assist throughout the day. There is a licensed cafeteria, daily transport from Christchurch and Greymouth.The access road is short and easy and chains are seldom required.
