Craigieburn Ranges. Broken River Ski field is just 15mins drive.
Broken River ski field
Broken River is a club ski field where everyone is welcome. A good family atmosphere prevails with the day lodge situated on the edge of the ski field. Access from the carpark is via a 20min walk through the bush. A goods lift is available for ski and snowboard gear.
The terrain at Broken River ski field is a series of rolling basins with great runs to challenge all superb untracked 'back country' terrain for the more adventurous. Check out Broken River's trail maps.
Broken River has nutcraker tows (a New Zealand experience not to be missed!). The field is suitable for intermediate throught to experienced skiers. New members are always welcome. Check out Broken River's membership rates.

Chill Ski passes
CHILL 2007 ski pass had the most ski areas in NZ on one pass. It includes Broken River as one of its 11 ski fields. A great ski pass for skiing and snowboarding in the Craigieburn range, Canterbury.
